Any cash prizes awarded with contests will be paid by the site staff, we are looking for extras to throw in that may help motivate participants. We are also interested in "guest judges" from time to time, even if you're just a community member.Contest Tips- Don't spend too much time on your artwork.
Judges generally prefer gameplay and innovation/interesting games to flashy graphics. However, that doesn't mean you can make your game look like it was made for an Atari. - Plan your game before working on it
- Don't try an interesting, time consuming art style.
While there's nothing wrong with this, all of these are time limited competitions. - How neatly it's programmed doesn't matter at all.
As long as your game works, even the sloppiest code will get you full points.
